Faculty Spotlight: Kate Nettles
September 10, 2020
Mrs. Kate Nettles has been serving as the curriculum coach at Fairhope High School for the last four years. She has been in education for a total of eight years and taught English for the first four. She has two daughters, three and two years old and a husband named Matt.
Mrs. Nettles attended the University of Mobile and majored in secondary education and English, along with being a music minor. She enjoys cooking, mostly Greek and Lebanese meals, playing outside with her daughters, dancing, traveling, and reading/journaling.
At first, Mrs. Nettles wanted to be an athletic trainer but she ended up doing a work-study and took an education course and discovered she loved it. If she wasn’t a curriculum coach at Fairhope, she would try starting her own consulting business or coaching group.
