The regionals overall will be played from 10/22-10/24/2020. The game will be a second-round system. Meaning that selected teams will play against a separate team. The victor of that game will then move on to another game, however, the team they go against will not have played a game beforehand. They will be automatically in that spot.In 2020 many things have changed about sports, but the Fairhope Girls Volleyball team is still growing strong!  After a year of dominating the court, the girls are making their efforts count. They’ve got their minds set towards Alabama Regionals. They are ranked 42nd in the state of Alabama and have an overall record of 8-7-1. They play their first game on Friday (10/23) at 11:30 and will face Prattville. If our girls win the first game, they will go on to play the opposing bracket’s winner at 3. If they win their 2nd bracket game, they play in the championships at 6pm the same day.

Along with Fairhope, Spanish Fort High School, two time champions, will be going to regionals. Spanish Fort is currently ranked No. 2, only being topped by Hazel Green.

Coach Lacy Powell states that the girls have high morale for the competition, and they plan to “roll with anything” that is thrown their way. “They really get along well and support each other,” Powell says, “They are a goofy group, and I love coaching them.”
