Faculty Spotlight: Diane Davis

Hudson Ruffner, Internet Marketing student

Diane Davis is a special education paraprofessional at Fairhope High School. Davis grew up in the Navy and lived all over the country, graduating high school in Portsmouth, VA. She then attended Louisiana State University, where she earned Bachelors and Masters degrees in Fine Art. Davis began working as a full time para in 2015 after 15 years as a substitute teacher. She says working in the school system allowed her to have the same schedule as her children, and taking a para position seemed like a natural fit since her youngest child is special needs. Davis has been married to Brad Davis for 32 years, and they have three daughters they are very proud of: Emily, a PhD candidate in Linguistic Anthropology at Tulane; Marguerite, a pastry chef at Fisher’s in Orange Beach; and Georgia, a second year PASSAGE USA student. All 3 of her girls are FHS graduates. (GO PIRATES!) In her free time Davis enjoys running, and working on projects in her art studio.
