FAIRHOPE, Ala.– On February 20, Branda Canady, owner of Desert Rose, hosted a paint and sip party at Nini Squares.
Chris Cullen owns Nini Squares and moved his family from Birmingham to Fairhope in January 2019.
“I have restaurants in Birmingham, we moved here because we have four kids and we love the community. My wife Rachel is from Fairhope, my mother and father in law live here,” Cullen said.
Canady picked Nini Squares for its atmosphere and pizza.
“I love the pizza here. I would come in for lunch, and one day I looked around and thought this is a great place to have a paint party. I asked Chris and he agreed,” Canady said.
Canady introduced herself and encouraged the guests to have fun and express themselves with the painting.
“Painting is very healing and it’s fun to do really important things with it. We want to be healthy, happy and have a good time,” Canady said.
Fairhope resident Kristy Lee attended and had an inspirational time painting and eating pizza.
“It was super fun and it was relaxing and cathartic,” Lee said. “I would most definitely go again.”
Another attendee Carey Uhle explored with fun paints and tried the pizza.
“It was a lot of fun, I liked working with the different colors and trying something new,” Uhle said. ”I’ll definitely come again.”
The guests painted and explored new things while eating at Nini Squares.
