I find myself at Provision often, drawn by its calm coffee-shop ambiance that feels like a cozy nook away from the world. The Lumineers’ melodies often fill the air, adding a touch of whimsy to the place. Just last Friday, I was there again, this time with three of my friends for lunch: Alysa, Ann and Julia. The second we walked in, the kind host greeted us with a warm smile as we headed to our seats. We soaked in the laid-back vibe, surrounded by the gentle hum of conversation and the comforting scent of fresh coffee and baked treats. It’s a place that feels like a second home, where the stress of the day melts away the moment I step inside.
After looking through the menu by the bakery section, I was torn between trying something new and picking my usual favorite, the fig and goat cheese BLT. Deciding to switch things up, I went for the Smoked Turkey Press. My friends, meanwhile, explored other corners of the menu-Alysa opted for a flaky chocolate croissant, Ann chose the comforting classic grilled cheese and Julia savored the simplicity of avocado toast. Each choice reflected the diverse offerings of Provision. The Smoked Turkey Press did not disappoint, a mouthwatering sandwich stacked with turkey, chipotle avocado, smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, tomatoes and pickled red onions, all pressed between slices of perfectly toasted bread. The warmth of the sandwich ensured every bite was as comforting as it was delicious, with homemade quality shining through in the rich flavors and hearty textures. It was exactly as described-undeniably fresh and satisfying. The only downside? The sole side option was potato chips, which, while tasty, left me wishing for a bit more variety. For my friends, they were overjoyed by their choices. Alysa couldn’t stop raving about the rich, buttery goodness of the chocolate croissant, savoring the bite. Ann delighted in the gooey melty perfection of the grilled cheese, declaring it a comfort food dream come true. And Julia couldn’t help but gush about the creamy avocado paired with a hint of tanginess and a satisfying crunch. It was a symphony of flavors that left us all with smiles on our faces and happy taste buds.
The service was exceptional. Despite the line to order being a bit lengthy, the staff made sure to efficiently get us through the process and we were in and out in no time. The host went above and beyond by checking on us throughout our meal, ensuring that we had everything we needed. It is refreshing to find a place that not only serves amazing food but also takes pride in providing top-notch service. It truly enhances the overall dining experience and leaves a lasting impression.
The prices were quite reasonable considering the portions and quality. My meal, The Smoked Turkey Press was $12, which felt just right for the size and taste. The grilled cheese came in at $9, the chocolate croissant was a sweet deal at $6.50 and the avocado toast was priced at $8. Overall, diners are looking at spending anywhere from $5 to $15 per person, depending on what they order. The cost-to-portion ratio here makes it a worthwhile spot for a satisfying meal without breaking the bank.
