FAIRHOPE, Ala. (January 22, 2025) —Fairhope High School’s Interact club will host a bag-packing assembly line to help homeless people in Mobile, Alabama.
Students in the Interact Club will go to Fairhope United Methodist Church on January 22, 2025, at 4:30 p.m. to help pack resource bags for homeless people in Mobile, Alabama. By attending this event, students in the club will help people in need throughout Mobile get necessities such as, but not limited to toothbrushes, socks and toothpaste for everyday life.
“This bag-packing drive provides necessities to people in need. This can also help them get jobs or opportunities to start their lives,” said Murphy Galloway, club president.
With this event the Interact Club helps the homeless community of Mobile get their lives started, all while doing it in a fun way for the high school students. For more information, those interested in donating items for the bags should go to the Interact Club Instagram.
After the students in the Interact Club have packed the bags, Fairhope United Methodist Church will take the bags to Housing First, a homeless program in Mobile. Workers from Housing First will distribute the bags.
