Project Prom comes to Fairhope High School

FAIRHOPE, Ala.— Fairhope High School is set to host Project Prom, an event sponsored by Junior Auxiliary of Eastern Shore in conjunction with FBLA that provides free prom dresses, shoes and accessories to students in the area.

“It’s a great opportunity to give back to the community,” said Stacey Weakly, FBLA sponsor. “We have jewelry, makeup, shoes and some of the dresses are new with tags. Students work shifts. People from Mobile County, Mississippi and Pensacola come.”

There will also be prizes such as free alterations, hairstyles, nails, corsages, photography sessions and more, all donated by local businesses. The event provides something for everyone, with dresses in a variety of styles and sizes from XXS to 5XL.

This year, Project Prom will be held on Friday, February 21, from 4-6 p.m. and Saturday, February 22, from 9-1 p.m. in the FHS dance studio.
