FAIRHOPE, Ala.– Seniors will come together on April 25 at Fairhope High School to participate in Adulting Day where they will further their knowledge of necessary real-world topics and skills.
Each session is around twenty five minutes long and the students who participate earn a senior field day. Students will be allowed to choose from twenty topics such as auto basics, budgeting 101, greek-life fraternity/sorority and more. These topics will be presented by adults in the community and teachers with specialized knowledge for each chosen course.
“Our hope is that the experience will highlight some of the practical skills adults need. The students rotate through six 20-minute sessions, which isn’t much time to take a deep dive, so our objective is to peak their interest in learning more ‘real-life’ skills,” said Treavie Ainsworth, senior counselor.
This Adulting Day has granted students in the past the opportunity to learn about skills that will benefit them in or outside of college. Students have shown to love Adulting Day as it reveals the future of what their success can look like through their chosen aspects of life.
Adulting Day serves as a day for students to take a rest from academics and learn necessary life skills. For more information seniors can contact senior counselor Ainsworth at https://cadams519.wixsite.com/website or 251-928-8309 for questions regarding Adulting Day.
Seniors, make sure to check Remind and keep an eye out for updates on this event. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to gather new life skills and learn more about what interests you.
