The Wisteria Garden Club to hold 3rd annual Art of Presentation event

FAIRHOPE, Ala.— The Wisteria Garden Club is set to gather on April 9 at the Eastern Shore Art Center to hold its annual Art of Presentation event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Floral tablescapes will be displayed at around twenty tables and each purchased ticket supports one awarded scholarship to a student in college looking to further their career in horticulture.

The tickets cost twenty dollars for entry and allow people to view unique tablescapes created by local interior designers, florists and retailers. The Wisteria Garden Club creates their own special tablescapes and the 58 members help set up this event along with the two chairman, Beverly Smith and Kitty Wilson.

“I started the Art of Presentation event in Chicago with my daughter Anna and it was such a hit I decided to bring it to Fairhope,” said Beverly Smith, event chairman. “This is our third year and we normally sell around 500 tickets and raise 1000 dollars in horticultural scholarships for college students.”

The Wisteria Garden Club serves as a non-profit organization and displays events to raise money for their horticultural scholarship program. The club was founded seventy seven years ago and this event, just three years old, has produced thousands of dollars toward the scholarship.

The Art of Presentation event is one of the club’s biggest fundraisers and produces beautiful floral designs for people to come and see. Come view these floral designs while helping raise money for a horticulture student’s future in gardening.
