Fairhope Ala.- The women of Fairhope showed up at the downtown stores for Girls Night Out with the theme, Off to the Races, on May 8, for the annual event.

The women arrived around 4 P.M. dressed as if they are going to the Kentucky Derby, and stayed until 8 P.M., meeting their friends and walking around town, looking and shopping in stores that are open.

“Girls Night Out is so much fun, and always brings new women into stores; as well as lets women socialize and meet new women in a fun and exciting way,” Delamore said.

Third-year participant Jill Delamore looks forward to the event yearly.

Fairhope does an annual Girls Night Out to bring women of Fairhope closer together in a fun and exciting way with a festive environment.

The fun did not end there, after 8 P.M. Many of the women over 21 headed to The Monkey Bar for after-hours festivities..

Laurie Webber says that the yearly event is beneficial to the community.

“Girls Night Out is an annual event that is beneficial to the community, because it boosts small and larger local businesses, it helps foster social connections, and is beneficial to charity causes,” Webber said.

Around town there were also silent raffles and silent auctions to support local organizations.
