Local teens praise God on Wednesdays

How do you use this?… Prior to the start of worship, youth group attendees attempt to teach small group leader Bunky Bishop how to use an eyelash curler. The lesson ended with Bunky accidentally stabbing himself in the eye. (Lucy McIntosh

Time for sermon… Youth group leader Miles Barnheart delivers a sermon on mental health. Barnheart spoke about his mental health experience and how teenagers can positively influence mental health. (Lucy McIntosh
Let’s talk… The freshmen small group talks about their weeks and catches up. Later in the night the group went into more depth about the sermon on mental health. Huffman speaks about her experience with her small group. “I always feel so welcome [in small group] and everyone is always there to listen to whatever you have to say,” Huffman said. (Lucy McIntosh
What’s the question… Freshmen Alice Webb, Huffman, Horn and eighth grader Molly Kate Bishop answer the nightly question on their way out of the church. Barnheart posted answers to the church’s Instagram account the next day. (Lucy McIntosh
Final Hurrah…Kids waiting on rides home finish the night with four square. Once every kid, teenager and leader had left, children’s minister Jenna Hood turned off the lights and locked up the church. The Methodist Youth Fellowship meets every Wednesday at 7 p.m., in the Fellowship Hall. (Lucy McIntosh)
