Sharon Smith, reporter
Sharon Smith is a sophomore student at Fairhope High School. She works on The Pirateer staff where she takes photos and writes articles for the publication. Smith enjoys covering musicals and community events and is especially interested in politics that affect the way society functions and the well-being of minorities. Outside of journalism, she likes volunteering at the Fairhope Public Library, writing poetry about her favorite characters and playing tennis. One fun fact about Smith is that she lived in Germany for a year and a half and hopes to go to University in Great Britain. Smith is the eldest child, has two siblings, one dog, lots of cousins and a few supportive friends.
