Welcome to Hogwarts… The first float, Emblem, rides down the road throwing flowers and stuffed animals. Children rushed to the side waving their hands and shouting “throw me something!” (Jillian Surla)
Bow to stern… The Eastern Shore Bay boat riders toss moon pies and glow sticks. As it approached, people started shouting louder and waving faster. (Jillian Surla)
Chivalry isn’t dead… The KOER ride a southern wizard themed float. A Floridian couple caught a stuffed animal and gave it to a teen girl to brighten her day. (Jillian Surla)
Letters to Fairhope… A Hedwig the owl float delivers joy to onlookers with gifts of swords, flowers and beads. Riders held large stuffed animals off the side to tease people. (Jillian Surla)
He-who-must-not-be-named… Onlookers shout louder at the sight of the Voldemort float. Riders wore shiny white and silver masks to resemble their float character. (Jillian Surla)

Griffindor!… The Olivander’s float throws lightsabers, wands and glow sticks. One rider waved a lightsaber over the head of another, acting like he planned to drop it on him. (Jillian Surla)
Into the night… The last float, Buckbeak, wears shrunken heads and wanted posters across the sides. Once the fire trucks came by, onlookers either followed the floats down or left to go home. (Jillian Surla)
