Your crazy matches my crazy… Freshmen Emmitt Kirby and Araleigh Johnson show off their vigilante pride by wearing Deadpool t-shirts. Some students decided against costumes and wore superhero themed clothing, like socks, shirts or even pajama pants. (Cameron Trapp)
Spittin’ fire… Students showcase their love for rhythm and rhyme with outfits fit for top-chart rappers on Tuesday. The second day encouraged students to dress dapper or a rapper, and the showout for rapper exceeded the few dressed in ties and blazers. (Braelyn Shutt)
All tied up… Unable to tie it herself, junior Eleanor Boyer requests principal Jon Cardwell’s help to tie her tie. After a quick few seconds, Cardwell gave her the tie, fixed up her collar and sent her on her way. (Kinsley Frego)
What a pair!… Seniors Jill Nichols and Marisol Acker present the differences between the two styles. Dressed to the nines or hip-hop ready, students and teachers alike showed enthusiasm for the upcoming dance. “Dressing up for rapper vs dapper day was so much fun,” Nichols said. “I decided to go as a dapper but copy the Men in Black look to stand out and I am so glad I did. This dress up day was one of my favorites and I’m happy I participated.” (Bailey Harness)
Zing… Students from Stacey Weakley’s class joke around the hallway in good Adam Sandler spirit. Day three, themed after Adam Sandler, saw students in baggy shirts, basketball shorts and marker beards. (Jillian Surla)
Bright day for grown ups… Students Cassandra Barclay and Sami Cobb dap each other up before hugging, both wearing the baggiest clothes they own. Cobb spent the morning contemplating whether or not she should go through with drawing the beard, but decided to do it anyway. “Adam Sandler day was definitely my favorite,” Cobb said. “What’s better than waiting for them to play Gangnam Style?” (Jillian Surla)
Where dreams come true… Students of all grades head to lunch and roam the halls wearing clothes fit for the “most magical place on earth.” Disney day showed students wearing onesies, tutus or even ballgowns. (Bailey Harness)
He was just gonna taste it… English teacher Hannah Rogers brings the honey with a Winnie the Pooh costume. Pooh’s closest friend Piglet sat on her shoulder keeping her company throughout the day. (Cameron Trapp)
Melts in the mouth… Registrar Julianna Alexander and bookkeeper Tracey Kuehl pair as M&M candies for dynamic duo day, concluding the week. They proved that students weren’t the only people excited to dress up for the week. (Cameron Trapp)
Big apple of their eyes… Junior Maggie Rae Brown and senior Victoria Hardy give New York a new name, dressing as the Statue of Liberty and a tourist. They said they wanted to be unique this year, and they were happy to find no one else had the idea. “Homecoming week was a blast this year! I loved dressing up and showing my school spirit every day,” Brown said. (Adley Watson)
