Presley Hughes, reporter
Born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, seventeen-year-old Presley Hughes is a senior at Fairhope High School. Hughes moved to Fairhope during her freshman year and joined the journalism class in her junior year. Hughes lived in North Dakota for six years before moving to Fairhope and enjoys her time at local beaches. In her spare time, Hughes volunteers in childcare at 3 Circle Church in Fairhope, plays volleyball and studies psychology. Hughes plans to go to UAB for clinical psychology after graduating. She enjoys interviewing individuals in the community for her articles and enjoys bringing fresh ideas to the journalism department. Hughes looks forward to bringing thought-provoking and truthful stories to “The Pirateer” this year!
