Coleton “Smitty” Smith is a junior receiver for the Pirates. He is praised for his positive attitude and laborious work ethic. “Smitty is the light of our team and pushes me to do the best I can every day. He is one of the best teammates we have; he always gives 110%,” says senior lineman Oscar Sandefur. Oscar is not alone in this feeling, Smitty is a fan favorite among students and players alike. You can usually see him leading our alma mater chant or cheering on the rest of his teammates. Coleton responded to this praise in an interview after the game.
