Kind Cafe is hosting its annual Spread Kindness event on May 25, 2024, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The event will be located at the Section Place Courtyard in downtown Fairhope. Kind Cafe has hosted this event for the past four years and hopes to make the fifth just as successful.
Kind Cafe will be hosting a market in honor of Mental Health Awareness month. The market will consist of onsite local vendors selling their goods, such as food, art, and clothing to support the nonprofit organizations in attendance. There will also be live music from an artist named Emmy.
“We have done this for four years now and it’s one of my favorite parts of our business. We do this as a way to give back to the community and donate to organizations that we feel passionate about. Our mission as a business is to strengthen the world around us, so we’re just doing our part and giving back,” said Alex Pikul, owner.
All donations made at the event will then be given to numerous non profit organizations. Submissions for non profit organizations can be submitted on Kind Cafe’s website https://kindcafe.community/nonprofit. With over $3,000 raised at last year’s event, Kind Cafe’s fundraising goal is even higher this year.
The three featured non profit organizations for this year are; One More Moment, which is a parent support and mental health awareness organization. The second is Under His Wings, which provides teen girls who deal with trauma a Christian home with someone to talk to. Lastly, Exceptional Foundation Gulf Coast is a place for those with special needs to feel welcome and safe. Locals and visitors should attend this event as a final way to end Mental Health Awareness month and to support non profit organizations and local vendors. It’s gonna be an event nobody wants to miss.
