Baldwin County Strawberry Festival returns with local traditions, sweet treats

LOXLEY, Ala.—The Baldwin County Strawberry Festival makes its return to Loxley Municipal Park on April 12-13, 2025 for a weekend of delicious local strawberries and family-friendly fun. This beloved tradition brings locals and visitors from across the Southeast to enjoy live music, arts and crafts vendors, a car show, a carnival and the festival’s famous strawberry shortcake.

According to the festival’s website, “whether you’re a festival veteran or first-timer, we invite you to join us for this year’s event. Not only will you share a memorable experience with friends and family, but you will also help us raise funds for worthy causes right here in our community.”

Since its start in 1987, the festival has raised over $48,000 annually to benefit Loxley Elementary School and ARC Baldwin County, Inc. As a non-profit event, all proceeds stay within the community, funding essential programs that support Baldwin County residents. Over the years, the festival has grown to feature more than 180 arts and crafts exhibitors, a variety of food vendors and an expanded two-day schedule to accommodate the increase in popularity.

Admission and entertainment are free, making it an affordable event for all ages. Festival Goers can enjoy live performances from local talents Brandie Spradley, Mario and the Marvelous, Wes Loper Duo, Hip Pocket, Gretch and The Modern Eldorados. A complimentary shuttle service will be available from the Baldwin County Board of Education Building to the festival grounds. Due to large crowds, pets are discouraged, and attendees are encouraged to follow event guidelines for a safe and enjoyable experience.
