Community celebrates annual Homecoming Parade

Marching through downtown… The band delivers a thrilling performance to start the parade. From the police station, they made their way through Main Street. (Penny Hood
Fun and focus…Color Guard members, sophomore Ally Shelby, sophomore Briar Garner and junior Madeline Taylor shake their pom poms and march with the band down Section Street. Color Guard performed as usual with the band. (Penny Hood
Struck with school spirit…The JV cheer team travels down Main Street throwing beads and candy. JV cheer captain Audrey O’Conner expressed excitement being with her teammates and supporting the community. “I loved being on the float with my JV little girls, because they’re all just so peppy and fun, like you can see all the kids with their bright smiles, handing them beads and candy,” O’Connor said. Cruising cuties…In their costume dresses riding convertibles, members of the Dogwood Trail Maids cruise down Main Street with smiles. These leaders in the Eastern Shore support their community in almost every local event. (Penny Hood)
Aliens and all… SGA Seniors take the spotlight with their Men In Black themed float. Senior SGA members organize school events and get involved with community. The parade represented the community as well as the team, and connected people across Fairhope. They cruised down the street smiling, making their last parade count. (Penny Hood
Pirate queens…The Homecoming court lines up with cheer getting ready to celebrate next to the bonfire. Lined up by grade, senior Finley Reed smiled, thrilled to be in the court. “It was amazing. I love being with such a lovely group of girls, they are all so kind and deserve this place,” Reed said. (Penny Hood
