Fairhope High School hosts its homecoming pep rally in the gym Friday, Sept. 19, to celebrate the homecoming festivities and motivate students to attend the football game versus Robertsdale.
Here they come…Fairhope High School’s football team kicks off the pep rally with their routine walkout supported by Pete the Pirate. Cosgrove would be announced homecoming queen at the football game that night. “It is such an honor and privilege to represent such an amazing community,” Cosgrove said. (Addy Busby) Practice makes perfect…Fairhope High School’s cheer squad performs a part of their competition routine. Cheerleaders prepared throughout many former practices. “The routine is fun and represents our school spirit,” said Percy Hardman, varsity cheerleader. (Addy Busby) All hail the king…Fairhope High School band gives a wild round of applause to their fellow bandmate Jaiden Hermecz after he wins homecoming king. The students voted on the king in the leading week. (Addy Busby) Crown on… Hermecz takes a seat on his throne and straightens his crown. Students cheered and celebrated with Hermecz. “The best part about becoming homecoming king is being able to represent so many people,” Hermecz said. (Addy Busby) Loud and proud…The junior class chants to “Rock the House,” competing to win the spirit stick. The senior class won with the loudest participants. (Addy Busby) Mini Pirates…The preschool class competes for the school spirit stick. The preschoolers joined and watched the other students participate. (Addy Busby) Tradition matters… Fairhope High School students join hands to sing along to the “Alma Mater” to end the pep rally. Later that night, the football team defeated Robertsdale with a score of 47-9. (Addy Busby)
