Baldwin County high school bands showcase skills at annual Jamboree

Elberta steps up…The Elberta High School Band of Warriors’ brass section moves forward toward the front ensemble in sequence as a part of their act “What a Wonderful World.” Trombones are seen in the front of the group, with clarinets and trumpets near the middle. (Sydney Melanson) 
Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice…Second up, the Spanish Fort Toro Marching Band and colorguard perform their show “Beetlejuice,” waving around their bright colors. “I think it’s great that everyone can just come together and play,” said Lukas Richard, Elberta High School freshman. (Sydney Melanson) 
Grounding choreography…The Pride of Baldwin County Marching Band’s colorguard honors Queen by performing the splits. Entitled “Queen,” their performance contained excerpts from Queen songs, including “Somebody to Love.” (Sydney Melanson) 
Swaying rhythm…The Fairhope High School Buccaneer Band moves side to side during the sixth sequence, Lust, in their performance “Seven.” This band’s act captured all seven mortal sins. (Sydney Melanson)

Manmade or artificial…The trombones and supporting brass of Foley High School’s The Mighty Band from Lionland as they perform their show, “What if AI Created a Half-Time Show for a Marching Band?” (Sydney Melanson)

Flying in synch…The Daphne High School Sound of the Eastern Shore colorguard synchronized in the midst of their show, “Masters of the Air.” “Honestly, getting to perform with all the people in the stands; it gets really exciting with all the people looking up at you, and I think it’s really cool,” said Tesarah Walker, Daphne High School junior. Colorful head-turner…Junior Sophia Williamson of the Robertsdale High School Golden Bear Band uses a light-up baton. The twirler assisted in telling the act “All You Need is Love.” The Fairhope High School Buccaneer Band will be playing the half-time show for the game on Oct. 3 against Foley High School.
