FAIRHOPE, Ala. — Parade-goers will gather in downtown Fairhope Friday, Dec. 5, from 6:30 P.M. to 9 P.M., for the annual Christmas Parade to celebrate the holiday season, bringing the community together. The parade starting point is at Morphy and Section Streets.
The event features over 60 parade units, high school bands, floats and a visit from Santa Claus. Streets downtown will be closed to prepare for the parade. Attendees are encouraged to bring bags to collect throws from the parade floats, a tradition similar to Mardi Gras.
“Nothing seems to bring people together like Christmas,” said Steven Dodrill, event organizer from the Chamber of Commerce.
