FAIRHOPE, Ala.– The Fairhope High School color guard team announced auditions and clinics for the 2026-2027 school year. Clinics are scheduled for Monday, April 20, Wednesday, April 23 and Thursday, April 24, from 3:30–5:30 P.M in the Fairhope High School gym. The final audition will be held Friday, April 24, from 3:30– 5:30 P.M in the gym.
The audition clinic teaches participants how to perform in color guard. The clinics are mandatory to participate in the final auditions. The audition is open to all students who are interested, regardless of experience.
Meredyth Petersen serves as the Fairhope High school band director, striving to give more opportunity to students, “You don’t need to know anything prior to the auditions. Our band instructors will teach you everything you need to know during those audition clinics,” Petersen said.
Students will meet in the band room after school to get equipment and then make their way to the gym. Students should show up in athletic wear and athletic shoes.
The color guard team is an opportunity to be a part of the “visual aspect of the band” (Petersen). Make sure to show up to the clinic if you want a place on the color guard team.
