FAIRHOPE, Ala.– Fairhope High School’s Student Government Association [SGA] will be holding elections for office positions on Friday, May 1, 2026. Students will receive a Google form via school email to participate in the popular vote, allowing them to vote for their chosen representatives.
SGA is a student-led honor organization that represents the wants and needs of students across the school. Within this organization there are a variety of positions, including president, vice president, secretary, treasurer and freshman through senior class representatives. For each class there will be six elected representatives.
“The voting process gives our entire student body a voice, shows who leads them and makes decisions on their behalf,” said Amanda Lloyd, SGA sponsor.
Students who wish to vote must fill out the Google form.The candidates on the ballot are as follows: president: Cooper Bell, Margaret Conyers, Sam Roach; vice president: Margaret Conyers, Josie Kemper, George Kunz, Madeline Hart Preus, Sam Roach; secretary: Cooper Bell, Margaret Conyers, Josie Kemper, Campbell Phillips, Madeline Hart Preus, Sam Roach; sophomore representatives: Lilika Ashley, Brody Bosarge, Camille Bozeman, Lila Jane Cook, Lexi Doggett, Evangeline O’Dwyer, Graclyn Traylor; junior representatives: Aly Bradley, Nash Gearhart, Knox Lawson, Sydney Melanson, Campbell Phillips, Bethany Pierce, Mia Stacy, Jackson Strunk, Claire Wang; senior representatives: Cooper Bell, Jayda Davis, Margaret Conyers, Ainsley Cook, Josie Kemper, George Kunz, Nylah Loukides, Avery Payne, Madeline Hart Preus, Sam Roach, Jay Nick Robinson, Carter Smith.
Freshman representatives will be determined through a separate vote during the first semester of the 2026-2027 school year.
If a student is elected for both a leadership position and a representative position, that student will take the leadership role. Campaign posters are located around campus emphasizing student characteristics that could be beneficial to SGA.
