Welcome, all!... Cosplayers show off their expensive or labor-intensive costumes, taking photos with attendees and purchasing from booths. The annual Mobile Bay Anime Festival, hosted by Humble Entertainment, opened its doors for a one day event on April 19 from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. at the Daphne Civic Center to celebrate pop culture and anime. “I’ve been going every year since 7th grade,” said Maeve Adkinson, Dr. Robotnik cosplayer. “I love meeting new people and buying fun art!”

Howl about that?… On January 29, performer Sabrina Martinez dances during the first act of the Horror Circus at the Daphne Civic Center. The troupe, based in Argentina, traveled throughout the United States staging both their Horror Circus and Circus on Ice shows. “This is my first time in Alabama, so maybe it could be my favorite audience,” Martinez said. “I really like it. It’s very pretty. Actually, now is all, like, Mardi Gras, so it’s all pretty.”

Upon entry to the Robertsdale Ren Faire on November 23-24, greeters gave attendees red stickers to place on themselves to ensure entry if they decided to leave. The Ren Faire kept its doors open from 10 AM to 6 PM, with a schedule full of events on various stages, ranging from the Joust Stage to 18+ Castle/Tavern Stage.
