The group focused on what people concern themselves with during the holidays and what they should be concerning themselves with during the holidays.”We took a vote and looked at some pictures and we kinda put a couple ideas and put them together,” Connick said. The group theme their doors around the game “Candy Land.” Each door had a character or land it was themed around. “Every year we try to come up with a theme and I saw Candy Land and knew we had to do it, “ said Juliana Alexander, registrar. (Halle Smith) Merry Grinchmas…Christopher Dabney’s door is The Grinch themed and says “Merry Grinchmas.” The door is meticulously painted to portray The Grinches hand and an ornament. (Halle Smith) Princess Zaylee…Alexander’s door is themed around Princess Polly from Candy Land but with Senior Zaylee Bradley’s face on the princess. “ Zaylee’s face was a last minute thing,” Alexander said. (Halle Smith) Chemistree…Chemistry Teacher Amanda Jennings includes learning into her decorated door. The door features a periodic table in the shape of a tree and chemistry questions to go along with it. (Halle Smith) Christmas Creativity…Amanda Lathems door has popular Christmas characters Buddy The Elf and Santa on her door. The door is painted and uses 3D clouds to make the scene more realistic.
