On your marks, get set, go!... The elementary school kids await the Pirate Dash in downtown Fairhope. The kids ran a one- mile dash to raise money for their schools. “My favorite part of the run is seeing all the kids running through the finish line,” Bruns said.

The troupe, based in Argentina, traveled throughout the United States staging both their Horror Circus and Circus on Ice shows. “This is my first time in Alabama, so maybe it could be my favorite audience,” Martinez said. “I really like it. It’s very pretty. Actually, now is all, like, Mardi Gras, so it’s all pretty.”

Knights, pirates and jesters, oh my!... Upon entry to the Robertsdale Ren Faire on November 23-24, greeters gave attendees red stickers to place on themselves to ensure entry if they decided to leave. The Ren Faire kept its doors open from 10 AM to 6 PM, with a schedule full of events on various stages, ranging from the Joust Stage to 18+ Castle/Tavern Stage.
