(Jenaveve Thompson) Rush hour… During the busiest part of the day, locals visit each booth. Booth items ranged from small jams to big cutting boards and knives. (Jenaveve Thompson) Pumpkin picking… Parents assist children to pick out pumpkins. SweetAlabama.org offered the traditional orange pumpkin along with green, white, and even purple pumpkins. (Jenaveve Thompson) Successful transactions… Sue Freeman, from Sajes Homestead, accepts money from a vendor for her jam. Freeman’s booth included jams, handcrafted spoons and jewelry, and crochet mushrooms. “The McKenzie Farmer Market Vendor day was a delight. The vendor atmosphere was kind and considerate. The customers were friendly and we even made some new friends. Overall the day was a success for our booth,” Freeman said.
