Journalism classes explore Disney World parks
Friday February 14, Preschool students hosted a Mardi Gras themed parade in front of Fairhope High School for Operation Jubilee students. Preschool student Keegan Hall throws moon pies to the freshman boys. The float theme was “Under the Sea” and students dressed as sea animals. “They’ve been talking all day about their floats, what they were wearing and how they decorated them with their moms and dads,” said Christy Carson, pre-k teacher. Isabella Torres is a Junior at Fairhope High School. She is a photojournalism student who contributes photography and correspondence to The Pirateer and The Bay Breeze. Torres enjoys covering student life, events, news, and community events and is especially interested in still life, event, street, sports, environmental and portraiture. Outside of journalism, she likes to paint and ride horses. One fun fact about Torres is that horses are her favorite animal.
